High-Performance Vertical Filter Press
When your process demands ultra-pure filter cakes or maximum recovery of valuable filtrate, a standard horizontal press often falls short due to uneven washing.
The Vertical Filter Press changes the game. By stacking plates vertically, it utilizes gravity to ensure uniform cake formation and 100% coverage during the washing cycle. Combined with high-pressure diaphragm squeezing and air drying, it delivers the driest, cleanest cakes possible in a single machine.
Why Vertical? Gravity makes the Difference
1. Superior Cake Washing:
- Wash water flows through the cake evenly from top to bottom (or bottom to top).
- No channeling or bypass, achieving up to 99% removal of impurities from the solid.
2. Compact Footprint:
- Vertical stacking saves valuable floor space compared to long horizontal presses.
- Ideal for factories with limited ground area but sufficient height.
3. Fully Automated Discharge:
- The filter cloth acts as a continuous belt. When the press opens, the cloth moves forward, discharging 100% of the cake automatically.
- No manual intervention, no sticking.
The 4-Step Process: One Machine, Four Functions
1. Filtration: Slurry enters the chambers. Solids build up on the horizontal cloth.
2. Diaphragm Squeezing: High-pressure water/air inflates the membrane to compress the cake.
3. Cake Washing: Clean water passes through the cake to remove mother liquor. The uniform cake thickness ensures perfect washing.
4. Air Drying: Compressed air blows through the cake to remove residual moisture, achieving minimal moisture content.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is it more expensive than a horizontal press?
A: Yes, the initial investment is higher due to the complex mechanical structure and automation. However, for processes requiring intensive washing or drying, it replaces multiple machines (filter + dryer), offering a better overall ROI.
Q: How fast is the cycle?
A: Vertical presses generally have shorter cycles (10-20 minutes) because of the efficient cake discharge and automated cloth washing mechanism.
Q: Can it handle sticky materials?
A: Absolutely. Since the filter cloth moves out of the press to discharge the cake, even the stickiest materials are removed cleanly. The cloth is then washed on the return journey, preventing blinding.
